Bio: Dr. Alexander Randall 5th is retired professor of Digital Media Communication at the University of the Virgin Islands. He teaches Intercultural Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Computer Mediated Communication, and the Psychology of Sleep and Dreaming. He is an entrepreneur who created the Boston Computer Exchange – the world’s first e-commerce business and the East West Educational Development Foundation which recycled computers and supported democracy around the world after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Randall is the author of “Dream Wizard Escapes", "Dream Wizard Conquers his Knight Mare” and Dream Wizard Pirate Gold." He took his doctoral degree in “General Systems Research” under the direction of Dr. Margaret Mead working on the origins of novel ideas, the diffusion of innovation, and the psychology of sleep. His dissertation concerns a field study among a group of dreamers. He holds Master’s degrees in International Education Development, and a second Masters in Educational Technology – both from Columbia. He has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Princeton where he studied with Dr. Humphrey Osmond working on the psychology of schizophrenia, the visionary experience, the ideas of Aldous Huxley and Albert Hofmann.
